Announcing Patrick Kua as keynote speaker

Patrick Kua is a seasoned technology leader with almost 20 years of experience in leading, managing and improving complex organisations and software systems, most recently as a CTO and Chief Scientist at N26 digital bank and previously as Technical Principal Consultant at ThoughtWorks.

We are happy to announce Patrick Kua as this year’s QED Conference keynote speaker.
In his keynote presentation Scaling Architecture Decision Making Patrick Kua will share a number of practices he introduced at N26 in order to decentralise and scale architectural decision making.

‘In the fast moving startup world, there’s often not a lot time to think about architecture. As I grew N26 from 55 to more than 350 people in two years, I wanted to make sure that we didn’t only grow quickly but also delivered a quality product.’, explains Kua.

Improving and accelerating the growth and success of technology organisations and their leaders is Kua’s personal passion. He is a frequent keynote and conference speaker, author of three books including The Retrospective Handbook, Talking with Tech Leads and Building Evolutionary Architectures and runs the popular newsletter for leaders in tech, “Level Up” (http://levelup.thekua.com).
