Vision 20/20: Let’s envision the future of enterprise tech
20/20 vision is a term used to express normal clarity or sharpness of vision measured at a distance of 20 feet. A person with 20/20 vision can see clearly at 20 feet what should normally be seen at that distance.
Clarity and sharpness of vision is what we had in mind when choosing Vision20/20 as an overarching topic of the QED Conference. Inspired by the year 2020 and the popular phrase ‘Hindsight is 20/20’ meaning it’s easy to have a clear picture of what should have been done when you look back. What we want to try at QED is – look forward and have a clear vision of things to come.
Understanding and being able to see how we should set things up in the future to achieve the best results is much more difficult. Especially in the tech industry, with the hype cycles and new tech trends emerging constantly. At QED Conference we will try and envision the future of enterprise IT systems.
It is impossible to predict the future, we know. Even the medical definition of Vision 20/20 says it does not mean you have a perfect vision, it only indicates sharpness or clarity at a certain distance. That’s why we would like to spend time discussing the future of tech from this point in time and see more clearly what we can expect, in 2020 and beyond.
